Excavating/Framework/Sub base

The existing area will be excavated to allow for a sub base to be installed at a depth of 100mm.

Aluminium edging will be used for the frame of the lawn (where necessary). Aluminium edging is mainly used to separate your new artificial lawn from existing borders/planters. If more substantial edging is required, 2.4 metre treated sleepers will be used. This would have been agreed on our initial visit.

A concrete screed will be laid around the inside edge of all framework, patios and pathways to fix the grass to.

The Sub base to your artificial lawn will be built up using 2 aggregates.

M.O.T Type 1 (40mm) will be laid, then compacted as the base layer, the 2-6mm crushed Limestone will be used as the levelling compound. All areas will be compacted using a vibrating plate to create a firm/flat base.

Artificial Grass

Geotextile Weed repellent membrane will cover the entire area and then cut to size. The Membrane will be secured using Galvanised U pins.

The grass will then be laid and cut to size.

All joints will have joining tape laid. Once everything is in place, 2-part adhesive will be used to secure all joints and edges of your artificial lawn.

Kiln dried sand will then be used to bed the lawn down and help to keep the pile of the grass standing upright.

Once the sand has been applied, all areas will be cleaned and power brushed.

All materials to be supplied by Perfect Artificial Lawns.
